Mahaffey structures are quickly installed and remain fully portable partly because we use a PVC fabric membrane for the roof. Fabric is compact, lightweight, and easily maintained - with longevity up to 15 years or more. We offer a range of fabric membranes, all of which meet the highest standards for durability, color retention, and self-cleaning capability. Our rental and leasing fleet of structures are equipped with Ferrari fabric. Selected after extensive research and field-testing, it has a superior PVC finish and proven top coatings. In addition, it has been pre-stretched in all directions so that no unsightly sagging occurs on walls, tops, or gable ends.
Mahaffey uses a unique system to quickly install or replace a roof panel. Each section has a keder di-electrically welded to each side, which slides into an aluminum groove - tightly securing the top and forming a weatherproof seal.
There are two choices of tops for most of our structures-translucent and blackout (opaque). The translucent tops allow natural interior lighting, which provides a bright interior at all hours of the day. This is an ideal choice for temporary warehouse structures, construction covers, or environmental enclosures. The blackout tops eliminate any light and keep the interior of the shelter cooler. These are typically used in our Super Series and are popular for shorter-term applications such as concert pavilions and corporate meetings with audiovisual programs. |

Why Select PVC Fabric?
Mahaffey is focused on manufacturing structures that can be installed quickly for temporary or semi-permanent use then dismantled and relocated for another application - reusing 100% of the components. Other manufacturers are intent on selling a structure, without regard to portability and reuse. The primary fabrics supplied in our industry are either coated or laminated PVC, or woven polyethylene. In general, the heavier the material weight, the greater the expected longevity. Coated materials offer greater long-term durability than laminates and woven polyethylene. Cost differences among coated, laminated, and woven polyethylene materials reflect this difference. |
