Mahaffey has experience selecting a suitable site location and constructing a portable helipad with an approved landing pad at a minimum size of 2,500 square feet ready for use within 72 hours of initial mobilization. Helipad markings, lighting, and wind directional devices are included.
Communications for Turnkey Man Camps:
In emergency situations or desolate locations, lack of communications or ineffective communications can cripple the man camps solutions effort. Mahaffey understands the importance of effective communication. Mahaffey employees utilize satellite phones guaranteeing constant communication between employees and the customer.
Mahaffey turnkey man camps can provide Internet access for up to 100 personnel simultaneously. Customers generally request Mahaffey set up a dedicated internet café and / or administration space with Mahaffey provided computer workstations to allow internet and computer access; although wireless communication is always available throughout the camp site.

The communications trailer is an integral part of the first response team from Mahaffey. Once on site, communications can be effected in less than one hour. Back up generators ensure uninterrupted use of this technology.
Power Distribution:
Mahaffey has experience providing all the power needs of the man-camp. Most power needs for the man camps will be accomplished with diesel generators. Power is provided to all structures within the camp. Power provides all interior and exterior lighting and climate control, as well as personal needs for power for three prong connectors.
Generators are strategically placed away from sleeping quarters, down-wind, and properly grounded. Extension cords are buried underground at specific depths for safety.
