If you are in the process of buying or leasing a portable fabric structure, you'll find others who claim to have exactly what you need. To help you make a wise decision, here are some useful questions to ask: |
- The Company:
- Does the company have a long history of quality manufacturing?
- Can they (and will they) give references and refer you to satisfied customers?
- Is the physical address to the company available or is it a PO Box?
- Can you visit them at their offices?
- Are they active members of the IFAI (Industrial Fabrics Association International)?
- Does the supplier have the ability to engineer a custom design?
- Does the supplier have an in-house customer service department?
- Does the supplier actually manufacture what they sell or are they a broker?
- Are the people assigned to your project dedicated full time employees or are they contract workers hired temporarily?
- Is the installation crew safety trained and certified drug-free?
- The Contract:
- Does the contract give line-item prices?
- Is a fixed installation/dismantling fee included in the total price?
- How much/what type of equipment must you supply for set up?
- Once the contract is signed, how many days until your structure will be shipped?
- Will you receive a comprehensive set of plans with a raised engineering seal?
- Do their roof panels include a soffit?
- Does their structure have vertical sidewalls or curved walls? Curved walls will rob you of usable interior space.
- Will you receive a 20+ page fully illustrated installation manual?
- Are their products made in America?
